FRCC Wedding Experience
Join us Friday and Saturday, November 9 and 10 for the FRCC Wedding Experience. Cakes, DJs, Gowns, Hairstyles and Make-up. They are all here and more! Open from 12:00 noon to 8:00 PM on Friday, and from 10:00 am to 6:00 PM on Saturday, this is going to be an extraordinary event. Brides will find all of the resources they need to plan a small intimate affair or a large scale event. And, it is all housed at Four Rivers Cultural Center which will be transformed to showcase the beauty of a once in a lifetime affair. The garden will be staged with an outdoor heated and tented wedding and the lobby will be turned into a garden paradise. On Friday, November 9th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, An Evening of Elegance will be presented. The catering vendors will have tuxedo’d waiters serving hoers de oeuvrs. There will be wine tasting and a harpist and other musicians will serenade throughout the evening. And, on Saturday, November 10 from 10:30-2:30 there will be six half hour presentations of make-up application, hair styling, cake decorating, flower arranging skin care, exercise and more. From 3:00 to 4:00 PM there will be a fashion show in the theater. More than 100 dresses/gowns will be featured along with tuxedos, bridesmaid dresses and mother of the bride dresses. Anyone who is planning a wedding or considering planning a wedding will benefit by attending this event. There will be at least 50 vendors showcasing their wares at the Wedding Experience. If you aren’t planning a wedding, but are planning a function of another type, there are still many things to see that will be of interest to you in the way of party planning. Many people will want to come more than once. Firstly to attend the Evening of Elegance with its moody atmosphere and lighting and elegant waiters, and then return the next day to see some demonstrations and to meet with specific vendors who are on premises, and to see the fashion show and take part in the big door prize drawing. The grand prize drawing will take place at 5:00 PM on Saturday. The grand prize includes items contributed by various vendors and has a value in excess of $2000. Many local business people are contributing to the show. Andrea Major from major events is decorating Four Rivers, Steffen Crow, owner of Salon Salon is coordinating the fashion show. Elizabeth McKinney, an independent sales director for Mary Kay is orchestrating all the presentations and demonstrations and, Sally Frye from The Bees Box in Weiser is decorating our stage for the fashion show.
