Beginning Danse Orientale ("Belly Dance")

Research shows that dance is not only good for your body but is also good for your brain! Exercise that is also an art! Tired of traditional exercise? Want your movement to be meaningful? Danse Orientale, also known as "Belly Dance," was originally dance moves from folk dances of the Middle East and Africa, and is a fun and appropriate exercise for everyone, male or female, young or old. It strengthens and tones the whole body, especially the core muscles, without harming joints. Students will learn many basic moves, the true history and purpose of "Belly Dance," as well as different costuming and dance stylizations for different styles of Danse Orientale. Class taught by an instructor with more than 17 years experience in Danse Orientale. Fun to do with a family member! Ages 8
