Description:

Idaho Rivers United presents a free, public lecture on hstoric community impacts of high water flows on the Boise River. Historian Kelly Mitchell has researched the impact that floods had on local communities and she'll share the fascinating stories of what happened when the river overflowed its banks. Though disruptive, these early floods were considered part of living near the river and were not wholly unexpected as the river reliably flooded each spring.
